Creating and Managing Custom Layouts

You can create custom layouts directly in the GUI by arranging graphs, signals, and tabs, and by adjusting the data view (e.g., trimming datasets or zooming). Once the layout reflects the state you want to re-use for a project, you can save it as a preset.

Saving a Layout

  1. Go to the Settings tab.
  2. Under Layout Configuration, enter a name for your layout.
  3. Click New Layout to save it.

Exporting a Layout

  • To store a layout outside the system, click Export Layout.
  • Exported layouts can be added to a data provider, making them available as presets to share with other users.

Saved layouts are cached with a particular dataset, and may take a few moments to load, depending on how many signals and control tabs have been used. However, after you export your saved layouts, you can make them part a data provider to share with other people, so that they can be used as presets.
